I've contacted the UK seller to make enquires today as well. These are just such a style AND substance bass. They look killer and sound as good as you'd want. Hey Sheldon you can have that tag line Style AND Substance

In other news a recent pick up purchase seems to have been lost by the French postal system. (I plan on converting my bitsa P into a Pbird - I have two Lull pick up's which are currently lost but when/if they arrive I'm gonna install one of them in the classic p position and see how I feel then the other at the bridge if it all goes well).
If they don't arrive I'll maybe get a J pick up added to my Super P. I know the options are the FDV and Super-Fatty II on the Dingwall site but what are their respective +'s and -'s.
This is only speculation for now but the SPZ is my main gigging bass (on the big shows theatre gigs type venues etc) so any tweaks to improve or enhance it's tonal options are not out of the question...down the road. My bitsa P is for another gig in dingy bars when the 5'er (or more specifically the low B) isn't really needed...y'all understand what I mean.

I have a DBird Standard on order (of which I can get my deposit back if I wish) but a Sadowsky Metro has popped up locally on the second hand market and I've had GAS for one for years and it's for a really good price. But I'd have to choose between that or the DBird. What to do....

Never played a Metro. I’m a huge fan of my D Bird standard. I can’t see being disappointed in it if you are looking for a rock machine that plays itself.
I have a lot coming up over the next year or so, I could only afford one or the other. In saying that, I could get the Sadowsky and order the Dbird next year instead...

Maybe it’s the new bass smell, but I’m thinking the one that I just got is my favorite bass I’ve played.
