At least for that price it has fancy fret markers. I was gawking at the Gene Simmons bass, for around the same price, and it was just utterly underwhelming... $7k, you're giving me standard dots?

Not that anyone asked me, but..

I like the color, but think that black hardware would add to the contrast and make it look considerably better.

As a Spector enthusiast and current owner, I’d rather spend $3K on an equivalent or similar Euro model, having played both Euro and US versions. In all honesty, a good used Euro around $2K US or slightly less is where the sweet spot is for me. The US versions have some really amazing finishes, but there isn’t (IMO) a 100% price difference warranted between the Euro and US models…at least from a build quality standpoint.

Price aside, I really love this color and I think it looks great on this instrument. Reminds me of my jazz bass I used to own that had a similar finish. It was supposed to be shoreline gold but champagne seems more accurate.

A painted bass ain't worth that kind of money. If the wood were something really special (and you didn't paint it), maybe. But you'd have to have a long enough upper horn for the thing to balance, well, and not a PJ pickup arrangement, and... OK, I'm picky.
