The "NEW" Trabens

Ive been slightly interested in the Traben line for awhile but, was kinda turned off by the smallish bodies and that crazy huge bridge. But, Trabens putting out some new stuff that looks pretty good. It appears on here, the only rags people have with the Trabens is the bridge appearance. Other than that, they get great reviews.

Anyone tried one of these? They even come equipped with Aggie preamps now. Im gassin pretty hard.

I'm very interested in these. They have electronics and a pickup layout that I like. Also, the one Traben I've played (don't know the model ... one of the ones with the ginormous bridges) really impressed me with the playability and tone, although I didn't care for the looks. These new ones look very good on paper, at least.

...but yes, a (inferior) copy of the Ibanez RD line, IMO.

Not wanting to pick a fight, but have you played one of these new Trabens before deciding it's inferior to the Ibanez RD's? I have no idea ... you may be right, as I haven't even seen one of these new Trabens in person yet. Nor have I played an RD. Just wondering how you decided that the Trabens are inferior?

edit: hope this didn't sound too confrontational ... actually, I'm interested in these new Trabens and am genuinely curious if you have found some shortcomings relative to the RD's ... thanks!
