Thanks! Funny that you mention Rondo's shift in bass focus. Before Thomann's Harley Benton brand came along, Rondo's SX offerings seemed to pretty much own the high value - low price end of the market. I believe that they are shifting now to meet other under-served portions of the market (a significant part of which seems to be the more than 6 strings guitar market). In fact, when I bought this I believe they were trying to gauge the interest in headless basses, and I don't think they made very many of this model at all.

But I'm glad I got mine!

View attachment 7384988I searched for year for a BTB 1000. Found one a few weeks ago on GC Used and purchased it immediately. It is well played with a lot of wear, bumps and bruises, but nothing that takes away from the way this bass plays and sounds. It’s shaging (TB auto correct, can’t use the F word?) awesome! So glad to have it!

Yes, I realize that you did not need a number, but our numbers are so low for such a cool type of 4 string bass that I had to issue you a number anyway!
