I know people love 'em, but I really don't like the SVT-212AV cab (I have V4B and SVT VR heads). It doesn't get quite loud enough for rock gigs. It does have a resemblance of the 810 tone, but breaks up before better very loud. I think I will get a 410 for the medium gigs.

I've tried several of the 800 series amps, they sound pretty good, especially with guitar because of the cabinet design. I've seen them with different coverings. Not sure if people would bedazzle them up. Owning an amp was a big deal back then, pros would have them.

Ampeg offered several preamp input options, they had a a number of dofferent faceplates. People had different applications and types of pickups - from crystal to magnetic. There were no standards at the time.

The one for sale looks rough given the asking price. They often go for far less.

Looks as if Ampeg was bought or became part of Yamaha. I was just considering a red TRBX304 bass.

yeah, some guy in hollywood was selling cheap. I went to check it out and its all USA Ampeg and worked properly. All i had to do was buy a new frequency knob because it was missing and install new casters. Over all a great deal indeed.

I picked up this used PF350 for 99 bucks. Then bought the new PF115LF to go with it.
The PF350 sounds much better than my B2RE. The PF350 sounds very much like the SVT410HLF behind it but much lighter. Took it to rehearsal yesterday and everyone thought the town was much better than the GK MB115 I use to use. Looking forward to using it at our live gig next weekend.

A PF-350 for $99? You got a killer deal. Sometimes it amazes me how inexpensive these Ampeg gems can be had for.

I just like Ampeg...

Not shown is my main gigging rig (it's in the trailer) - New(ish) Ampeg V4B with an Tuck 'N Roll Kustom 2x15 cab with Altec 421a.
My absolute favorite sounding Ampeg cab is the V4B 2x15 folded horn. It is just too damn big and heavy for 99% of my gigs. But, oh, that 1% is glorious!

Waiting for Ampeg to come out with a 610 Neo cabinet. Will it ever happen? I've got a Fender 610 Neo that I love, but it doesn't match all my Ampeg gear !!
