the Official Ampeg Club Part 5

Quick question... is the cab used with the Micro head the same as a SVT210AV? They seem to have different grill cloth, one is dark, one is light.
Yes, it's a 210av. And sometimes the grilles appear darker or lighter depending on the manufacturing process. It's a little bit inconsistent that way. Don't know why but I imagine there must be a good reason :D

It has returned! I probably was one of the first in the Netherlands with a Micro VR stack. Bought a second 210 to it and really digged the sound. But playing live I had a little trouble keeping up with the band, volume wise. So I traded the Micro VR for a PF350.
Later I found out that for me the Ampeg class D amps do not give me as much of the 'real' Ampeg sound as the class A/B amps do. (Full tube is above my budget). I kept the PF350 at home and play live now with a SVT 350H. And now a Micro VR has returned! What bliss! Anyone in for a PF350? ;)

Just added this guy (svt 2 pro) to the Ampeg family! It sounds absolutely fantastic, and looks as good. I forgot how much heft/ push is behind every note when you're playing thru an svt head! I also forgot how heavy this guy is, but totally worth it! I can't wait to gig this amp with the 810 cab!

Is that the rack mountable all tube equivalent to the SVT CL?

Maybe. I tend to go for the more traditional looking SVT's myself, but it's a very nice amp.

I completely agree with you, jimmyM... I'm such a sucker for the vintage looking Ampegs especially with 70's blue/silver grill cloth! This was one of those to good to pass up deals. Big iron for low cost, I guess I was going function over looks for once. In all seriousness it seems used hearitage and VR's go for double what svt 2 and 2pros go for in my area.
