Carbon Blue Pearl HS w/ White Ice pickguard. I'm going to try and change the pickguard to abalone or moonstone at some point. Though it's very nice looking as is, those two pickguards are a really awesome match with CBP.

Broke my stable down to just my Geddy Lee Jazz to make room for a Bongo. Got a killer used deal on one and it's on the way.

4HH in Sapphire with Moonstone PG. Will likely change the PG out for White Pearloid, or Vintage White Pearl. I like that white ice one above as well. Will post pics once I receive her.

This being a 18V pre amp how are batteries holding up for you guys?

Also I'm running DR Hi Beams on my Geddy, and have thought about going with Sunbeams for the Bongo, I'm not sure yet. Maybe flats, but I've never really given them a chance.

How are Bongos to play? Never had the chance to try one but there's something about the way them... they just look like they'd be really uncomfortable to play. Someone please tell me I'm wrong!

Bongos are very comfortable to play. One of the more comfortable basses out there IMO, unless you are going super high-end/custom. Plus, they look different in 3 dimensions than they do on your computer screen....not quite so pointy in person. I love playing mine!

Just got my new Bongo 4HH a couple of weeks ago (sapphire black). I'm waiting for an abalone pg which is on its way. Sorry about the sideways photos, I can't seem to rotate them properly.

Hi, I'm considering purchasing a Bongo 6 bass. Do you think it is good for solo work? I really like it but I feel there may be too much bite in the tone for me. Can you suggest strings to replace the stock ones to mellow it? I compared it to Yamaha TRB 6 which I understand is a notch below the Bongo quality-wise but it has that singing ability which is missing in Bongo. So can it be a matter of finding the right strings or I should look for another bass?
