The Official EBS Club

So since I've posted to join I since had a trade with another tb'er for my TD660 for his Fafner. Lol. What another amazing head from EBS.

I just made an amp replacement to my old Warwick Sweet 25.2, - and guess what! I replaced the amp head in the combo with an EBS Reidmar. It almost fit in perfectly, and the sound is so big and bright. To me it sounds like a major upgrade. The speaker seems to be a perfect match for the new muscles.

I've also got a small combo fom EBS, the Classic Session 60, which is small enough to be accepted in our livingroom...
Is there any chance I could become a member of this forum?

I probably should, too - not as many as frootbooty ...

The cabs are now 22 years old. I replaced the original Fane speakers with Eminence BassLites (after consulting with the good folk in Sweden), lost about 10 kgs per box, gained 200 watts of rating and a lot of effortless bottom end.

The 1v2 is also 22 years old and is still working beautifully - no issues whatsoever, and (as you may have guessed) I love the sound. In the past I used an EBS 2x100 power amp (which kind of worked - probably much more than 100W - but there wasn't much headroom). The Yamaha is great (not light but doesn't buckle - ever).

Lovin' it.

Regards,
Michael

Very cool Wardmar! And yes, of course you can be a member - sorry to have missed your post last month! You are EBS club member #65.

Very nice stack. For my own EBS-1 + Power Amp rack, I was determined to keep the total weight down to about that of my HD350, so I went with a 1500W Crown class D, but your Yamaha is probably a much better match. Consider yourself EBS Club member #67. Welcome!

Uh, yeah, I think we could call that "a couple of items". I've never seen so much EBS amp gear in one place outside photos of the EBS stand at NAMM! Consider yourself EBS Club memeber #66. If we had a concept of member emeritus, you'd be up for it.

The other side of the room looks like this.

To the right is another 410/210 stack, and to the left is a 112/110 neo stack. Not pictured are a couple Gorm and Drome combos I have in another part of the house.
For some reason, I went through a stretch where I kept running into EBS cabs at the local pawn shops. Since they don't come up that often, I would buy them whenever I saw them, and I ended up with this.

Do you live in the Stockholm area? At the rate I've seen used EBS gear turn up in shops in the US, it would take 80 years to stumble across your collection!

Las Vegas. I purchased the 810 new and one of the stacks new. Everything else was either through pawn shops or Guitar Center used. It has taken about 7 or 8 years to get to this point though.

Hi guys, could I get a number? I have a ValveDrive and just got today a Microbass II that I will use on my pedalboard.
Since I've taken over as secretary of the list, I've tried to respect the rules laid out in the very first posting on this thread, by the guy who created it. These include the stipulation that members have an amp or a cabinet. I'm willing to consider a rack-mount EBS pre to be an "amp", but the Microbass II (and I have one and use it almost every day in the studio) is still probably a "pedal", because, well, it's a pedal.

Another requirement for joining is photos. If you had a photo of your Microbass being supported imaginatively by a particularly cute model, maybe. ;)

Ok, I do understand but just for the lols I'll try to get my vocalist to make a cute pose with it and I'll post here on Monday :D

Well, that makes you member #68, xkomo. Welcome!

Out of curiosity, how much of the time do you end up playing out with the 212 or the 115 individually, vs. the whole stack, and how to you decide which one to bring?

Thanks for the number! It actally is a 115 and 210... I prefer the 210 because it is easier to be carried, soundwise I think the 115 is bassier and better when I play my marleaux consat... For me it is a great combination to have a hi fi head and a cab that pronounces the bass frequency. The results are Phenomenal!!!
