Reidmar 750?
*sigh*
No headphones out anymore?
No Aux input?
The Drome (may its glory be ever magnified) has those features because it was designed as a practice/rehearsal combo. The Reidmar is less a cost-reduced Drome (I guess that's what the Session combos are, and you'll note they have those features) than it is a cost-reduced HD350, a component head without those features.
"Made in China"?
Is your concern with quality, or workers' rights? I can afford to pay double for Swedish labor, but a lot of players can't.
My LMII is getting old and I am looking for an upgrade. This is not the answer.
I probably won't buy one myself. The lack of Drome features isn't an issue for me, but the inability to run a 2 Ohm stack is. But the "classic" (and not Classic) EBS front end with their Drive and Compressor circuits and sweepable midrange EQ coupled to >500 Watts of lightweight Class D for less that $800 hits a sweet spot, and I think it's going to sell *much* better than the original Reidmar.

Yeah, Sid, I have had a Drome (sold) a Classic 60 combo (sold) and the original EBS product, the EBS rack mount pre that I bought used in 1996 or 1997.

For me, a 500 W head is for rehearsal, quiet gigs and backup, just like my LMII is today. The Reidmar 750 could have been a good replacement for the LMII, with the potential bonus additions of Aux in and headphones out. Now it is lacking these low cost, simple add-ons.
"The China thing" is mainly a reflection of my hope to keep as much production as possible here in Sweden. It is not that that the Reidmar 750 will position itself in the lower price range of this size amps...

I recently picked up the EBS Classic 500 and two Classic Line 410s. During many years of bass playing I have owned some great tube amps. From Hiwatt 200, Ampegs, to the Fender Super Bassman 300 (that I still got). This amp is the closest I have got to a real tube amp. It's cheap(er), weighs less and is very versatile. What's not to like about it? It's very easy to go from a clean, "modern" (whatever that is) sound, to a warmer tubey sound, to a full on gritty overdrive. The EQ is simply great with full and easy control over the mid range.

My first gig with this setup was outdoors in front of 800 with the amp one of the 410s. Didn't even push it hard and it delivered like a champion.

I like to try new gear that doesn't cost too much, is easy to move and sounds great. These ticks all the boxes.

Love to join the cool kids club. Picked up a pair of ClassicLine 112's. I'll have to write a review of the TH500 w/112 cabs. Great match imo.
PJ, that makes you EBS Club member #74. Nice little rig, which I bet gets amazingly loud with both cabs in play. Do write up your impressions. I like Aguilar amps almost as much as I like EBS, and at least until the Reidmar 750 comes out, EBS has nothing that competes with the TH500 for value.

I almost went for the Reidmar and then the 750 was announced. Played out with the cabs only one time with a GK "Fusion" MB 500 and really liked it but the TH500 is such a good fit. Ill write up something next month after an outdoor gig and another indoor 2 set(er). So far I feel that I made the right choice consider I paid $650 for the pair. Thanks for the member status.

I had two th 500 and one th 350 and I really tried to like them...but no. I also had a Reidmar but it was just a little too weak for my needs so while I'm waiting for the Reidmar 750 to come out in a month or two here in Sweden I play a Tc bh 800 and a Streamliner 600. According to Ralf at Ebs the production model will have aux in and headphone but the show model had not.

Hey everyone!
I bought an EBS Reidmar head. I thinking between two cabs. EBS classicline 210 or Ampeg Pf210he. I'll use it small gigs. First of all 250 W vs 450 W so I'm afraid EBS will be weak for me. I seeking modern sound, slap etc.
Can you say some experience for me?
Thanks.

The Classicline 210 is quite new and I've never personally seen one. But on general principles, if you are concerned about loudness, then what you should pay attention to in the cabinet specifications is sensitivity, not max power handling. The Classicline 210 claims 96db, while the Ampeg claims 99.6db, so the Ampeg should be slightly louder running flat-out. On the other hand, EBS generally makes more slap-friendly gear, and the Classicline has a bigger tweeter and a slightly higher frequency band than the Ampeg.

Not sure about the 210 but I have a pair of the Classic Line 112's and I am a bit disappointed to be honest. Loudness/Sensitivity is certainly an issue IMO. Not sure if I am comparing apples to apples BUT…I compared these to the Aggie DB112…and frankly…it made my Cabs sound like just a speaker in a box. I understand that the DB112 is almost twice the cost…but..it hurts…it hurts bad. : (
