Hi Traynor,
Thanks to the folks here at TalkBass, I got the name and email address of the tech in FLA, but with the new US distributor situation, he's not sure if he can work on the amp "officially". I'm letting the dealer work out the details, but meanwhile, I'm going through EBS withdrawl...

Gotta get some pics, but I use from 1 to 3 EBS neo 112 cabs. One sounds big, two sounds HUGE, three is (almost) overkill!

Also - I just compared one of the EBS neo 112's with an Epifani UL110 and while the Epi is definately a sweet sounding cab, (comparing side by side with a Little Mark II) - the EBS cab blew the Epi away (at least to my ears) in terms of clarity, richness, character and (of course since the EBS is a 12) in bottom end and volume. Now I haven't had the chance to compare a UL112 with the EBS neo 112 (to be fair).

I use the EBS cabs with either a EBS HD-350 or Little Mark II head. These cabs sound great with either amp.

I also just picked up (today) a Schroeder mini 12+ light. Can't wait to compare it to the EBS cabs (tonight). The Schroeder is a 4-ohm cab.

I really like EBS rackmount preamps.

My number one gig setup is an EBS Classic with a MicroBass II in the effects loop. The Classic provides the basic sound, and the +4 dB output from the XLR will drive even the most insensitive power amp. The MicroBass provides a volume control (the Classic XLR out bypasses the volume control) mute for tuning, more traditional tone controls, an effects loop with wet/dry mix, and another XLR out for sending to the house mix. Together this combination works perfectly for me. The design of the EBS rack mount preamps is a bit eccentric, but the MicroBass II compliments the rackmounts so well it's almost like it was designed to be used this way.

I expected the Classic to sound pretty much like an updated version of the EBS-1v2. To me they sound a bit different. I like them both, but the Classic can get a "gritty" sound when you want it and the EBS-1v sounds better if you want a super clean sound. They both have the zingy hi fi highs and very fast feel that these preamps are known for. No latency whatsoever in the sound, and the dynamic range is exceptional.

EBS RULE :D
I have a drome . I use the drome every day for gigs , sessions and rehersals. love it. For larger gigs i always let the venue rent a EBS rig , since its the standard proffesional backline rig here in Sweden.
