I just received my custom frog  [couch shot]
Since I custom configured all the lightest possible hardware and wood choice, I was hoping for somewhere 7.5 lbs but it ends up at 8.5 lbs which is a bit disappointing... :bored:

I bet that's not all you have to say about this instrument...? Wow!! Beautiful man! Don't like the round pickups though but excellent wood choice and block inlays!!

I think you'd be hard-pressed to not like the Xtenders. They're pretty impressive and when mated with the Sonar pre and 3 way switching, they're over-the-top. I'm pretty sure I have the dual-coil. When "dusted", the coil configuration looks like two side-by-side Twix bars.

Now I want a Twix bar.

The feedback that I've received about their tone has been overwhelmingly positive. I wasn't really a fan of the "look" when I first saw them but now I actually prefer that "look" on some builds. Still, the look of an instrument with the more standard soap bar shape & wood pickup covers excites me as well. I just need more money so that I can make my dream happen! :D

Sooooooo, try as I might, I'm just not a 5 string player and so I'm giving the fine members of this Maruzczyk fan club a heads up ....

For Sale - Maruszczyk Frog Beta 5 with FretFX LED's (Lots of pics)

She's really a fantastic bass and I've priced her very fairly.

Anyone interested?
Oh, man, how I wish you said you were giving up a 6-string.... That thing is super cool. By the way, nice black-on-black Ric in that one picture!!! I had a black Ric back in the day, but with the white pick guard and truss rod cover. Totally miss that thing! (This was high school and the early 1980s; I even had t-shirt made at the mall, with cheesy iron-on letters, that said "Rickenbacker 2001.")
