I had a scare when I saw the sofa shot of my Elwood....

Much more "Blue" than I thought that Bruno Blue would be....

Looks much more like the Bruno Blue on the configurator in real life....Phew!....:thumbsup:

The bass in the sofa shot looks a little different but as I said previously, I won't really be able to tell how I feel about it until I get it in my hands. If there's a problem, I get the feeling that I will be able to address it in an appropriate manner if it is indeed necessary to do so. My interactions with Sylvain have been very good.

That's Dragon's Breath, right? The sofa shot one looks almost cherry burst. I would not be unhappy with either, but you need to get what you ordered.

Well, what I'm saying is that I won't know what I've got until I get it. If I need to deal with issues, I feel pretty comfortable with saying that I should be able to resolve my concerns.

I'm not unhappy with the sofa shot. It just looks a little different than the configurator image. Some of that is to be expected as anything in the configurator is not the actual depiction. Once I get the bass, I'll be able to make a determination.

Freaking out right now, just wouldn't make a lot of sense. If I had ordered Dragon Breath and my sofa shot was Olive Green Burst? I'd already be handling the matter. As is, hard to say until I get the bass. Regardless, I've got this.....

BTW, I'm of the opinion that Cherry Burst would be a much lighter finish than my sofa shot...

The configurator is more like a simulator. What you see there can never show 100'% exactly what your bass will look like in real life. On top of that, if you compare 10 basses in dragon breath with each other, they will all look slightly different.

Two of my Maruszczyk basses are sea foam green, but the color is not exactly the same. And both of them looked different than on the sofa shot. I don't give a damn.

Your bass looks close enough to me and I am certain it will look even better in person. More importantly, I hope it sounds and feels good and like what you were hoping for.

First of all, I didn't realize you had bought the bass, and wouldn't have said anything if I knew.

Second, I did mean it but not in the terms of personal opinion like I didn't like it or the color is ugly or something. I should have been more specific. It seems like the burst on the upper horn is sloppy. Also, I noticed splotches by the control plate which appear to be part of the wood, and if so, would question the selection of the wood or at least show/tell you.

That said, didn' mean to ruffle feathers, I truly hope you think it looks and plays great when it arrives.

In fact, I believe the grain of the wood makes the bass appear the way it does on the picture. Nevertheless, you are judging the bass based on a single picture.

Let's wait for it to arrive and be seen in person.

The grain is unusual that's why I like it.

Yes, the configurator is great, but has its limitations. My Jake in two-tone red is definitely a different shade that whats on the configurator (and computer monitors have issues too). It's still looks fine. Every piece of ash will be different and I see no problem with the wood used in ebozz's bass. I don't think Adrian would let a bass leave his place with a poor quality finish.

No ruffled feathers here. I'm neither thrilled nor turned off by the appearance in the photo. I need to see it up close and personal. Well, I guess that you could put me in the more thrilled than not thrilled camp. We shall see after it arrives!
