In case it helps to know, I've got a 33in scale Sputnik and it will balance nicely anywhere between horizontal and maybe 60 degree incline when standing and not holding the bass. Not sure if strap material or (my) body shape contribute to that, but that's my experience at least. And such a nice bass - you'll love yours when it comes..!

I didn't ask for strap locks, I decided to take care of that later.
Do you have strap locks? I worry without them it maybe be risky, because the button is facing upward.
I decided against strap locks too. I checked out the options but wasn't actually convinced by the designs (I'm sure they work fine, but just didn't appeal to me).
Turns out that the standard strap "button" is very wide at the wide part and takes me a good 5 seconds or more to get my strap on or off, so I have pretty much no fear of the strap coming off accidentally. I had planned to use the little dunlop plastic strap locks since they have worked well enough for me in the past and I keep my strap on the while time anyway... but I don't think they would even fit on the button.
Feel free to ask if you have any more Sputnik questions... happy to help if I can...

The bass will sound with a bit too many highs since the strings and the wood are new. I really love how my bass got to have better and better sound

... and yes, loving everything about the bass. I think I mentioned before that for the stuff I'm playing at the moment, I've got two main sounds that I want and can get nicely from the pickups and preamp. I've still not got the 400/800Hz switch hooked up, but am not missing it at the moment... not rushing to get that done.
For strings I've got Nickel now and have a couple of sets of replacements on order to try out soon-ish, which are both nickel too. The strings have mellowed quite a bit now but there is still a surprising amount of "ping" available should I want/need it. I had expected to change the strings sooner but I'm liking how they sound and feel still... so they stay on for now.

I’m really torn on what to do next, I keep on going back and forth between going for a 30” Elwood 5 and sticking to a 4 string. I just sold my 34” 5 string.

Just go for the 5 string shorty. Best of both worlds. I played a few of them at Adrians shop. Plays nice and sounds great. As soon if I can(€€€) I will order also a custom 5 string shortscale.
No couch photo from my side for the next 15 weeks - i just ordered a 32“ Jake 5p with no pickguard, quilted maple top, color faded blue jean (like PRS) which they have never done before, 3+2 headstock, Delano PC5 HE/M2, flamed maple neck + fretboard.

How much does it weight ? Usually absolutions look amazing but they weight a lot ?

I'm looking into getting a new bass and would have questions regarding a certain configuration.
I'm going for the P/MM pickups ( aguilar ) and was kind of wondering if it's possible to have both of the P and the MM pickup sound in one bass. I'm guessing you can, however the pickups would overlap a bit. Should I move the MM pickup close to the bridge or the P pickup closer to the neck ? Which one should be less noticable ?
Also, I'm not sure on the fingerboard wood, if I should have rosewood or maple ?
