That Elwood seems to have a deeper cutaway for the lower bout. Is that a special option or an optical illusion?
Yank here--I wouldn't worry yet--although I would be impatient. I've seen only a few days to get out of Germany, but one week wouldn't surprise me. It's worth following up to find out if all the paperwork is in order. Its not impossible that Public Peace might need to resend something for customs if they lost it (this happened to me once).View attachment 4383162I'm still waiting for this, it's been at the FedEx hub in Germany for 1 week. I contacted FedEx yesterday and I was told that it's been referred to the escalation team. Has anyone else had issues with receiving their bass in UK since Brexit?
The end result tops the configurator! So this is the end result compared to the configurator. Just because.

Your bass is stunning!

Thanks, it's an Aldar Body with a Maple Burl Top, 3 Piece Roasted Hard Rock Maple Neck and Indian Rosewood Fretboard.Yank here--I wouldn't worry yet--although I would be impatient. This is a Jazzus, right? What wood is the body and did you get a final weight yet? I'm just about to throw down a wire for a Bruno Blue Jazzus.
I once had FedEx deliver a package to my neighbor. Actually, that has happened many more times than just once, but the particular time I'm thinking of, my neighbors delivered the package to me. I called FedEx and told them about it. The lady I spoke with was only concerned with whether or not I wanted to start a case, and why would I want to start a case if I'd already received my package. I told her that I didn't care about starting a case, but that I thought FedEx might be interested in knowing that their delivery service somehow was delivering packages to wrong addresses. I was apparently quite wrong about that.I'm seriously not impressed with FedEx customer service. With UPS, I always get a response within hours and if there's any problem, they find out straight away.
I'm dangerously close to pulling the trigger on an order, just trying to decide on a bound & blocked rosewood board, or a flamed maple neck & board
In the meantime, has anyone got any pictures of a shell pink Maruszczyk instrument? My searching is coming up empty, and I'd like to see some real world examples. Same with other pastel finishes, if anyone has them - daphne or sonic blue, seafoam or surf green, etc. Even orange and green would be great!

Just got this Elwood the other day. It's "baby blue" according to the build sheet. Pretty close to Fender's Daphne Blue. Pic color is accurate.

Those are both stunning! What colours are they?
Gorgeous bass! Hope you're getting a lot of enjoyment out of it so far
Is that a rosewood board?
Seafoam green according to Maruszczyk, but it came out differently on the basses. The Frog has a little more white in the mix I think. The reason for the difference might be that I sent Adrian a picture of a seafoam green telecaster I had found on the net, which I wanted him to use as a guideline for the color scheme of my Mr Tee.
They both look great, but I do love that Mr Tee, it's the first Tele shaped guitar I could really see myself GASing for. Is that neck vintage tinted, or just standard maple?
Any movement on your bass? Your situation has me concerned now that my bass has sat in probably the same hub in Germany for 2 days now and mine is coming to the US.Thanks, it's an Aldar Body with a Maple Burl Top, 3 Piece Roasted Hard Rock Maple Neck and Indian Rosewood Fretboard.
Shipping weight is showing as 12kg, that's 26.46 lbs in US.
With regards to following up, I've done everything I can:
I contacted Adrian on Monday and he said that things take longer and have been different since Brexit and that he was waiting for a reply from FedEx.
I contacted FedEx on Tuesday and was told by the FedEx UK team that my case had been escalated and I would receive an email or a call from the team dealing with my case. So far I haven't heard anything else from FedEx and it's been 48 hours. I'm seriously not impressed with FedEx customer service. With UPS, I always get a response within hours and if there's any problem, they find out straight away.
I wouldn't be concerned with a US delivery. Mine arrived quickly and other US customers have recently had the same experience. Give it a few days.Any movement on your bass? Definitely not worried yet but certainly going to pay attention to it.I wouldn't be concerned with a US delivery. Mine arrived quickly and other US customers have recently had the same experience. Give it a few days.
Maruszczyk owners, how essential or unnecessary have you found the carbon rods to be?
It feels like a no-brainer for added stability - but necks on my basses seem pretty sturdy, got a dehumidifier on the same floor I keep them on which may help.
I'm now concerned that perhaps the added weight in there may contribute more to neck dive, than it would help with keeping it stable? Or am I worrying about nothing?
I'm looking at a hard rock maple neck & board, on a 30" scale Elwood. Going for Ultralite tuners and a Big Maruszczyk bridge, which I hope will be enough to keep the headstock pointing up; just don't want the rods to effect that. Just got to choose whether I wanted a tinted neck finish or not, then hopefully ready to order![]()
