The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

I did! But I wasn't able to find that much information for multiscale short scale bass...any lead is appreciated!
You can ask them directly. I have not seen where they offer multi-short-scale instruments, though others indicate they do. My point, though, is that they will do things on instruments even if it's not specifically offered. On my bass, I asked for about eight custom features, and got five of them. (Three were included at no extra charge, two of them I paid extra for.)

Is there a resale market for all these quirky 'custom builds' ..that would be my chief concern here.
Why? are you buying to resell or play them?

I build a custom instrument for myself or order a custom instrument from Maruszczyk that is tailored to me to play.

My main concern is getting an instrument with all of the features and details that I want to play, not for resale.

If your main concern is resale, it might be best to stick with off-the-shelf basses that are not tailored to you.

I've owned several custom built instruments and haven't had issues selling them.

No, I'm not planning to buy one. I've had a close look and they aren't for me.

But you see a lot for sale and there will be a reason for that. So then the spec comes into play.

Most offer a limited template to build off of.
This at least stays in known territory with regards to known combinations so less of a risk to the buyer.
Maybe it's just me, and certainly all opinions are welcome…. But as I understand it, you don't care for Marusczcyk and have never owned one and don't plan to. You're also not a fan of the nearly unlimited choices that the Marusczcyk configurator offers to their customers, which most of the owners in this forum are fans of... So I'm truly confused about why you continue to comment on the dislike for Maruszczyk's in the Marusczcyk owners forum?

Heck there are several brands that I'm not very fond of, but don't really have a strong desire to let their owners know about it. ;)

Yep, its just you. My initial post was about resale as it seems there are an awful lot of variations beyond the first model line.
No one else is making any sort of deal about an innocuous post.

Its a bass, I'm interested, its what forums are about unless you like an echo chamber.

No not bent out of shape at all…

Agree, there's a ton of choice and options by design. Seems like resale is good as there are many for sale/sold here and elsewhere. Hopefully you'll find the one you're looking for with the renewed interest.
