Oh, I get it now… you better email Adrian I’m sure he’d do it for you.
That would be cool to have this body and bridge choice with a headstock for a custom order without having to buy the wojtek pilichowski model.

Edit: Nevermind. I don't know what I was thinking there....
All of the way from Germany to the US in a couple of days, as of 7pm tonight it made its way to a FedEx facility 40 miles from me. The tracking says it’ll be here next Thursday, but I doubt that’s accurate, hopefully it’ll arrive sooner but either way it won’t be much longer!As a matter of fact, remarkably, it looks just like this!

I was informed that my base was complete. I've been waiting for the sofa for a month.
Putting together my first build and discussing with Randy. I haven’t done anything of this scale so it’s kind of daunting.
Here’s what I’ve got in the configuator:
Major changes (for me) would be an inlay on 12 only, the MM pickup right next to the P, and a 3 way switch instead of a blend knob. Would still have the series switch in addition.
Really, looking for something nice that covers multiple genres that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to take to a recital or a bar.

Nice build, looks great. Not sure if you are specifying the MC5 HE/M2 pickup on the bridge, but if you are I would reach out to Randy and Adrian and ask what the lead time is on these before ordering. For whatever reason the lead time for the humcancelling pickups seem to be extended.
I'm not saying you shouldn't try to get exactly what you want, but...
You think you would be embarrassed playing that bass at a recital or bar, or that it wouldn't cover multiple genres?
Sorry, I’ll rephrase. I play some nice places and some not so nice. I wouldn’t feel right bringing a Fodera to a dive, but don’t want the bass to draw attention away from the show in a good venue.
Stealth nice, if that makes sense.
Well yeah, I would hope that a custom Maruszczyk would not be an embarrassment to play in public, otherwise…
My two main basses are my Maruszczyk Frog and a Warmoth 3-pickup jazz (currently in my avatar). Both of those basses have been to nice venues, festivals, and dives. I do understand the mentality of not wanting to take an expensive bass to a dive, but for the purposes of protecting one's investment. I don't understand the mentality of being wary of what bass to play because of concern about drawing attention away from the show. I don't get that. I suppose if I had Bootsy Collins' 5-pickup star bass in my collection, it might be a legitimate concern, but only because it wouldn't really fit any show I do. Anything else, my thinking is that the bass I play is part of the show, and therefore nicer is better in most situations.
While it's not exactly my cup of tea, the configurator picture you posted above is a beautiful instrument. And if I saw anyone playing a bass looking like that somewhere, I would simply admire it, and probably ask the owner a few questions about it if that possibility arose.

I’ve never experienced the stigma others speak of, and I’ve never given a 2nd thought to what others think about the instrument I’m playing… I’ve played em all and never worried about it, from my Warwick Thumb and FNA Jazzman (originals, classic rock and blues) at biker dives to a headless 6 fretless for a metal band in many bars (in/outside venues). My headless Frog (and other custom headless) have been played with all types music and never any issues other than curious interest in what they were.
But as long as the sound/tone is spot-on for the genre I don’t see how it should be an issue, they’re just tools in the end. I’ve seen plenty of Maruszczyk’s in the wild at different venues as well.
Yeah, I mean if one of these doesn’t freak them out then a FSO Maruszczyk (or other) shouldn’t be a big deal
and as long as it sounds good or right…

It kind of can be though. If you’re already playing something high-brow, like trad, prog, or a concept album, and then you show up on top of that with a la-de-dah, pinky-out, custom bass…
Yeah, at some point, it’s a little much. Not the bass’s fault, but it’s cool to let the music speak for itself.
What is that blue-purple burst (for lack of a better way of describing it) bass? (The one currently in your avatar.)
I play pretty jammy music, in the NYC/metro area, and I feel like a lot of bass players in my scene lean towards Modulus, or if they can find/afford it, Alembic. My Maru flies under the radar because no one knows what it is.
