yes, I used a Lowes medium scale conversion neck and a Squier body. It sounds great and I love it.
Huh, the Lowes in my town doesn't have bass necks... ;)

Regarding Gypsy Rose basses (which I understand to be 32" scale) :

Please could anyone confirm the nut width of these ?

I have a line on one for $100 Canadian, in purple sparkle, including the original soft case and strap.

Seems like a good deal [have seen pics of the actual instrument], but if the nut is 1.5", I will most likely pass.

P-width or more is what I am hoping it would be.
