Well Bubby just posted his new headless signature bass on Instagram. Not a very detailed picture. Looks the same as his normal black Super but with 635 pickups/electronics instead.

Interesting to see that Mike and Daniel weren't showcasing much in the way of Saratogas this year.

I would think it’s more that Nashville is less receptive to the 535 style of MTD. There are tons of Jazz style basses represented at winter NAMM - but also (seemingly) a lot more open-mindedness.Their Saratoga focus is typically Summer NAMM. Although it also draws people from around the world, the hosting location (Nashville) is more receptive to the instruments the Saratogas are inspired from (JB & P's).

Yep, I was wrong. They're Super.Looks like a ns splittable
Any idea if the spuer pickup is different from norms one?Yep, I was wrong. They're Super.
In case anyone's interested to hear an ash/walnut, ask/BEM 635-24 with steel strings... From a NAMM booth performance, but the audio's not half bad.
That's a fun performance. Did you make that Helix preset?
I agree about the factory presets. I still haven’t used my Helix for bass yet. Only guitar.Yes indeed, I've played around with every block and made my own presets - nothing factory seems to work for me.

I guess you’ve inspired me to see what I can come up with for bass on my Helix now, cuz that was pretty cool.
Oh cool. Thanks for the insight. I'll dig in this weekend. Hopefully I'll come up with something equally as stellar, put it on YouTube and get my MTD endorsement. Thanks man! Used on that track at different times were: compressor (I think the Line 6 model with all the variables), the Darkglass model as a drive tone, and a ring modulator with foot-sweepable frequency center on the expression together with the drive. I set up snapshots (which I usually don't do, normally use it as a trad pedalboard) to switch between the different song parts and their respective combos/sounds.

For members who are interested to MTD with Nordstrand electronics
Interesting to see that someone else besides me needed to put electrical tape over their Jazz Blades to keep the strings from hitting the blade...
I adjusted mine to match the output of my other basses. Or close to it anyway.Question for all MTD players. Do you adjust the gain trim pot inside the control cavity? Or do you leave it at 0? Any benefit to increasing it, other than more output?
I used to have very low action and hi pickup height plus the blades have big surface to get hit..Interesting to see that someone else besides me needed to put electrical tape over their Jazz Blades to keep the strings from hitting the blade...
