New baby in the house!

Ooh, damn that’s sweet, congratulations!
Are those B-axis Barts? Ash body?

JayT

Yes, B-axis Barts with an ash body, ash neck, birdseye board.

I've spent a little bit of time with it. I was literally minutes from heading out to church to record our services for Sunday when it arrived. Georgia goes into "shelter in place" starting tomorrow. So, it is the last, full production "live" service we will do for a while. I basically unboxed it and headed off to church with it. It was a risky move but it paid off. :). Totally digging it so far. The switch allows you to change the MM pickup between series, parallel and single coil. As expected, its super beefy with the MM in series. Aggressive tone, but not over the top. Which is exactly my goal. I will spend some more time with it in my studio over the next few days and get a better overall feel for it.

Does that neck have the titanium rods in it? I've seen them incorporated into MTD ash necks with maple boards.

This one does not..but yes, Mike does it quite often. The Norm Stockton Saratoga, for example, has an ash neck and birdseye board with titanium rods. I've had ash neck birdseye board Saratogas with and without the rods. For my tonal preferences, I actually prefer not having the rods. It does add stiffness and hence more compression. Which if that is what you are looking for, it is a great option.
