The Official MTD USA Thread

Super Sunday. Go Pack Go!
Super pre and pickups. Does that count?

I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit I haven't played at all in over a month. We moved back in September and I haven't had time; just too much to do. Finally got the music room sorted out today.

This was posted on the MTD FB page earlier. Wow! Had to post this beauty. I sure hope mine comes close to it when done.

Described on the page as:
This is an MTD USA handmade custom 530-24 #bass with an electric-blue flamed sycamore top, Okume body, flamed maple electric-blue neck, toasted birdseye maple fingerboard & titanium inserts.
Punchy, round, warm, great bottom end, solid mids, sweet treble & bigger sounding than it’s 30” scale.

Really like the idea of a 32” 5 string. How is the string tension?
I don't know how Mike does it but it's as tight as some 34 scale basses I've play. I stop playing MTD's along time ago because of wrist problems from having to reach so far. When I found out Mike started making short scale basses I new I had to figure out how to get one again.

Also I tune in flats Bb Eb ect..

I was absolutely blown away by this color. I love intense colors, and this one came out exceptionally vibrant!

Curious to know how you like the JJ config. I see a lot of Saratogas with a PJ arrangement. Any second thoughts about your decision?
i had a saratoga with alder/morado, and a full aggie setup (pre, J pickups) and it was awesome.
