Well I finally got to try my Mini 12+L last Friday at practice. Unfortunately we were given a different room than the one we usually play in. This room has bad acoustics and I'm not the only one to find that out about it. In any case, I couldn't get a decent tone from the Schro and LMII. That really surprised me as I've tried the LMII with a few other cabs and it sounded fantastic. The knobs were all flat at first with a little VPF and VLE. No tone, no life, no punch. I twiddled the knobs all night and it just didn't perform. I'm putting this one on the room acoustics. But I did find a buzz and rattle inside the cab don't know if this is sympathetic frequency or a loose nut or bolt in the cab but it really should be built strong enough to withstand the bass frequencies and vibrations.
This cab is definitely returning to Jorg (as he is making me a replacement). But I want to try it out in our regular room on Wednesday to find out if I should just get a refund and forget about Schro altogether. Really, the cab is lopsided & rattles inside and no template is obviously used to cut the wood. This is not worth $800 Cdn. But if the cab sounds good on Wednesday then I'll chance getting the replacement but it better be squared, have no rattles and sound good.
