Jorg is definitely a standup guy! If he wasn't he wouldn't be building this guy another cab. Then again some people you just can't please, so you take all opinions with a grain of salt. I've never had a problem with my 21012 and if I did I'm sure Jorg would take care of it.

Cheers,
Jim

In fact I'll be using my 410L tonight with Link Removed at Invalid Link Removed in Oakdale, here on Long Island:

Wondering if y'all are still giving out numbers to Schro owners? Just came upon this post, thought I'd give it a shot...and I'll also throw my lot in with the Genz club today and see if I can get included!
I've had this 21012R for going-on 6 years now, been used and abused above and beyond any gigging call of duty....always gets me major compliments, especially now with the Shuttle 6.0 I'm using and the Ray 5....

....and for the record, I've dealt with Jorg ever since I went down to L.A. to buy this cab used...talked to him via email numerous times, and have replaced the 12" woofer and tweeter and am now about to replace both 10's finally, and it has been a real pleasure dealing with the guy!

just an update

Yes, Jorg has good customer service, I never said otherwise...

Yes, this cab has quality issues. Had it been your cab you would have returned it.

Actually, it's very easy to please me, as long as I have quality and get what I paid for.....

Jorg and I came to an agreement (although I've yet to receive his email confirming it). He will probably respond on Monday (everybody deserves a weekend off).

Jorg agreed to give me a discount on the cab. That way he doesn't have to build another and I don't have to waste more money shipping it back internationally (mucho dinero). If I had accepted the replacement cab, who knows if it would have issues too and this time I probably would have no discount or refund available.

Sometimes you have to make lemonade......

I accepted the discount. I found that the cab sounds OK in some rooms and really bad in others. Guess I'll just have to take my chances. If there is more bad than good then I will change the speaker or sell the cab. It's not quite the tone I was looking for but it is light and small (bad back - not getting any younger) so I guess you can't have it all.
I'll fix it so that the LMII head doesn't slip off from vibrations since one side is higher than the other. The other issues have been addressed (or will be shortly).

So yes, you can take this with a grain of salt but we are a few billion people on this planet and everyone has a different view.

So I guess I want a number too?

Nice rig Bob. Just wanted to say from a local LI guy.:bassist:
It sounds as neat as it looks. The cab and my rack (not the one pictured) weigh about the same, easy roll-in/out. Without cracking the EQ and with the master just past 12:00 I keep up with two guitarists, one with a 100-watt Bogner through a 2X12 loaded with Celestion Heritage speakers and one with a Dr. Z Maz 38 through a 2X10. Sometimes they complain about my volume, but I just laugh ;)
And while they're still setting up pedal boards and wires and all their other accouterments, I'm chatting with my friends and other patrons. It may be lacking a little useless low-end, but the bass punches through the mix and I can sit in it perfectly, even varying my volume (and punch) with just my attack. I've been thinking of dragging out my (pre-Fender) Goliath III and Big Ben lately, which might or might not give me a better sound, but every time I have that thought, I just look at my rig and smile :bassist:

Wow I just finished reading this whole thread # 1-50 about half way through I was all for getting a 412 cab but now I am back on the fence I want a cab that kicks ass not be a pain in the ass hum more thinking required

I have two 1212BMF cabs. I love them. I only have to take one with me when I play at church. They are more even sounding, to me, than the Classic Lites.

Great photo, timmerz! You definately deserve a number. Matrok should be around shortly to give you one. :)

Thanks a bunch! I'm still getting some wide-eyed wonder from other bassists that haven't been exposed to Schroeder cabs before, even after 6 years or so....They can't figure out why my 2x10 1x12 is stomping all over their 4x10 when it comes to bottom end and cut-through capabilities...

You sir are number 87, welcome to the club!

I love it! Thanks!

I'm also mentioned on Jorg's site, bottom line of names, got in late on that one also!

Whats good all,

I just started using Schroeder cabs about 3 months ago and I cannot believe I have gone this long without them. I traded a fellow TB'er and I could not be happier. I have since added a 1212l to the herd for my Double bass.

I actually have a question about the 1212L... I recently got it used and took it to a gig the other night... bad bad bad. I sounded great, but mid way through it started making rattling noises. When I got home I opened it up and found that there are some wires that were not connected and the bullet tweeter was really loose. I tighted the tweeter and the noise still happened.

Does anyone have any schematics that show the wiring of the 1212L?

Sorry I know that was a long explanation for that simple question...:help:

Oh Yes!!! Can I still Join the club??

Thanks,

Manny
