so after taking them for a couple spins and breaking them in a little...
I am really digging these. I have owned 10 different schroeder cabs (along with mesa, pjb rigs) and I must say my big white stack takes the cake for me. The new design helps balance the overall sound BUT they are still loud and cut in the mix like a canon. I notice some more low end then the classic design. Not pillow-esque low end but a nice pumping low.
I am curious how the smaller BMF cabs sound (IE 1212 1215)

Here's my rather modest Rig of Doom for my Rick 4001 (effects chain->Ashdown ABM500->Schroeder 1212L for the neck/bass pup, Genz Benz Black Pearl 30 combo for the bridge/treble):
I just received this 15+L from Richard (Washishimi) and will A/B it with the 1212L at band rehearsal tomorrow night. In my living room, it's very difficult to discern a difference between the two (aside from the 15+L being 10 lbs. lighter and, perhaps, a little less loud):

Just got my 21012 and 412 BMF WHITE rhino cabs in. Will post a review tonight after I gig them. So far... very LOUD and more balanced than my schroeders. Feeling the white...Oh and... they are CRUSHINGLY loud.

Received my second 1212BMF yesterday. These cabs are the truth. All of my basses sound great on them. I think Jorg has a winner with these cabs.
My second schro came in today, yellow 1212 bmf. Looks awesome. Finish is great. Light and tough looking. I'll test the sound in the morn.
I've just received my Mini 12+L today. Can't try it out before next band rehearsal.
One thing is for sure though. It's not square....one side is 16 1/2" the other side is 16 3/4". The plastic corners don't fit flush with the cab. It wobbles a litttle, though it's not that bad....The cut out where the jack plate is has been cut crooked...All in all, not very good quality carpentry skills, not for $800 Cdn for a 12" cab. But the weight is good, but can't really try it out till Thursday night at practice. I hope it sounds good, cause I can't afford sending it back and I don't have another cab to use for our coming gig. Wish I could have received it last week as I could have used it for recording our new CD on Saturday and Sunday last. Will let you know how it sounds on Thursday night. I hope it sounds good, otherwise it'll be a real bummer.....

I'd send something like that back ASAP, before I tried it out at home. No excuse for that kind of shoddy workmanship, at all. Let's see some pics, please.
Its very important to make sure Jorg *personally* inspects your cab before he ships it out. I would insist on that... especially with too many experiences similar to yours lately.
Honestly, he just can't let this kind of stuff happen.
One tip to help your cab sound its best... break it in by playing a cd thru it for as many hours as you can. That will loosen the driver up and it will sound a *bit* deeper. If I recall correctly the standard break-in period is about 12hrs.
If you are not happy with the workmanship, I would send it back and get a refund. Now is the window of opportunity when you can do so. If you wait too long you are going to be stuck with what you have. You can rent something from L&M until you have a bit more cash. If I had an extra cab to lend to you I would.
My 212 bmf rocks! I put an iamp500 into it tonight with all settings flat, deep switch engaged, gain and master all the way up. Incredible volume in a light package with zero distortion. Very impressed with my second cab from schroeder. Less boxy than the 1212l I own and doesn't rattle at high volumes. Anyone know what speakers are in this thing?
Volume wasn't up the whole time. Just for a test. I played the gig with gain on three and master all the way.

I got a reply in which.....well you tell me what you think....
He says that most companies who offer coated cabs do not install any corners at all or if they do, they are small metal ones, and that he could send me small metal ones if I want them. Says he decided to put plastic ones even though they do not fit flush. Frankly, I don't like metal corners and am glad he put on plastic corners. The fact that they are not flush doesn't bother me all that much, but really, if you are a carpenter wouldn't you try to make things flush? Mind you, it will not detract from the sound.....
He says all Minis come with one handle. Well, I can understand why, it's to keep the weight down. Makes sense so I'm not going to complain about only one handle since the cab is fabulously light and that's what I wanted. I just thought they came with two (my back would have loved it). But again, that won't detract from the sound.....so reallly, no complaint there.....
About the wobble, he says all I have to do is adjust the feet which I have already done. It might have been dropped during shipping, the box was slightly flattened on one side......again, it will not detract from the sound......
The one thing that does bother me is the fact that one side is 16 1/2" tall while the other side is 16 3/4" tall. If you look at the cab from the front you will notice that the top is slanted because of the sides not being the same length. I didn't expect that on a 12" cab that cost $800 Cdn but Jorg does not even address that complaint at all in his return email. Really???? Yep!!!! Again, it will not detract from the sound......
He says in 6000 builds he's hardly ever had a complaint but I ask him, who sawed the wood then and who does it now? If you cut one side 16 1/2 inches then the other side should be the same length. That makes sense to me how about you?
The only reason that I would return this cab is if it doesn't sound right tomorrow night at band practice. I need a cab that is light and small and I really can't afford to be without a cab right now. It took me all summer to finally come to a decision on which cab I should get. If it sounds good, I will keep it. The corners, the wobble (fixed) and only one handle are not requirements for a return. I'm not crazy about it being lopsided though, although you have to really look to notice it and on a dark stage it would be nearly impossible to notice (unless my LMII slides off from the vibration - I'll have to keep an eye on that). If I don't like what it sounds like then I will return it.
So, yes, I'm upset.....but it could have been worse....I guess....what do you think?

Although I do regret you NOT addressing the lopsided issue and am not keen on you telling me to "keep this professional" since this is exactly what I have done. I was merely telling the truth and reporting the facts and never said anything derogatory in my email to you or in my post. So yes, I am keeping this "professional". But a lopsided cab for $800 is NOT "professional" in my opinion. Would you build one that is so that I can send this one back???
