sold my 2 schroeder 21012 light cabs.was very happy with them at first but after a couple of weeks started noticing problems,feed back,strange whistleing sounds,rated at 1000watts and couldnt handle my 500 watt markbass?light weight cabs vibrated and my beer would fall off in the middle of a song,not good.took them apart and could not believe how cheaply these things were constructed.baffle was very flimsy speakers were cheap.12 inch speaker was not isolated,harware was cheap,poor connections.Man was i disappointed in these after hearing all the hype,maybe i just got a bad pair,i dont know.I absolutely could not recommend these speakers after my experience.:scowl:

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I've owned 5 different schroeder cabs over the last 5 years and they've all been very well built. My last one a 1515L this past winter.

Seems like there have been some major Quality Control mishaps lately.

Really hope that gets sorted out right quick.

So do I, considering I've just ordered one. I really couldn't afford this blunder.....

dont mean to scare you,I picked mine up at musicians friend clearance center....cheap.But that does not explain away these problems.seems like alot of people have good luck with them.Ive talked with jorg and he is a very cool helpful guy im sure he will take care of u.since i didnt actually buy mine new he was a little hesitant.my repair guy thought they might have been prototypes.he said in his opinion they were not worth working on.I sure hope you have better luck! I eagerly await my new carvin brx 410 and 210 surely im due a little good luck also.

It saddens me to hear of the current problems, I surely hope they will be sorted.

I got my cab a little over a year ago, and it's sturdy and well built. Great sound, seen lots of gigs, no issues. Exactly what you'd expect from Schroeder.

:hyper:Jorg just received my MO today and he sent me an email saying that he had a few personnel problems which have been sorted out. It should be ready in a couple of weeks. I feel that every company has a few glitches every once in a while, but considering Jorg's reputation, I'm sure he got rid of those bad apples and replaced them with experienced and enthusiastic workers. I look forward to my new cabinet and to help restore Jorg's rep.;);):D:hyper:

OK, well that's got me worried now......
I sure hope I get a good "experience". I ordered one because of the weight issue. I can't afford paying another shipping fee to return it if there's something wrong with it, I could barely afford it in the first place. So I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope it turns out OK.

They use some kind of fibreglass material to keep the cabs lite. I think the 112 is about 20LBS.

Thanks, I checked out the Flite but was not really impressed by the info I found on them. I emailed them but it took a while for an answer so I gave up.

Traynor - yeah, I've been thinking of that one if the Schro doesn't work out. I read that there wasn't much bottom but then what do you want from a 25 lb cab?

Thanks, man. Still hoping the Schro will work out. But it's nice to know there are other alternatives....

My experience with my 1515L+ has been nothing but positive. I've played a couple of gigs with it now, and with my Thunderfunk amp, it pounds out plenty of low-end. I'm talking about pushing the TF amp to nearly maximum volume levels and this cab takes it with ease. Lots of punch and plenty of deep low-end. The bullet tweeter sounds really good too. So far, it has turned out to be an amazing little cabinet. :)

That will be my next cab, to go with my 410L. :cool:
