That happens a lot when photographing a pearloid pickguard. Same with tort.

BassAgent, I need to fix my logos on my bass. I stack em vertically, and the logos are sideways. Hm.. I might have to try.

I love your set up though, esp. that Celinder.

Wow! The combo of an Ice Blue Metallic finish, pearl white pickguard, and chrome pickup and bridge covers is stunning!

I plan on putting them on the Squier when I get new pickups. Its kinda weird, the stock Duncan Designed pops are sooo hot, and I hate em. The thing plays soo smooth, it needs to have a better pickup.

After Christmas I plan on spluring on one, and doing my first electronics ever.

Dean Baby V. One co-worker gave it to another, some alleged guitard. I bought it for $30 off this chick because she swore up and down it's a youth model guitar. Apparently, she never held her beloved strat up to a Les Paul.:rollno: It has been one of my best purchases EVER. With some heavy strings, it sounds KILLER. Not at all the "Dean Sound" that may come to mind, though. It's got a nice helping of output, but it's very clear and warm. The neck pup is PERFECT for some electric blues/harder classic rock. Once you dial in the bridge, you've got a pretty nice tonal palette available. Tone knob is pretty effective. It's just a shame that you can really tell that they cheaped out on the electronics in it. Internal wires are far too long, and the op jack is finicky (on a good day).
But, the neck is wide and shallow, which is my preference for guitar. Overall, a much beloved musical mistress.:hyper:

Now, the Jazz has a great story behind it. Last march, for my 20th birthday, my folks took me bass shopping (if this seems odd, they're the gift givingest bunch I've ever met. They'll be sending me Christmas gifts when I'm 40 :p). We went to Best Buy, and GC, since they are the only places I know of in town to try stuff firsthand. BB had some really swell Squier J's, and I was pretty set on a natural finished one with Duncan pups. Go to GC, all the same squiers at the same prices. Then, I decide to pick up a Fender Standard J to provide the standard against which I would judge my squiers. I had a budget of $300 even. So, I plug it in, and start playing it. I was in love. It felt great, I loved the sound, and overall it just had the "it" factor in spades. My mom commented on how great it sounded, and I said "I agree totally, it's just too bad that these are (then I look at the price, and go silent)......" Tag said $300 even. I asked a sales clerk how it could possibly be so low, she ran off with the tag, and came back 5 minutes later, looking a little let down. She starts with "I'm terribly sorry, sir". Which, at this point, I was certain that it really was too good to be true. She follows with "I can't go any lower than 300, but I'll sell you 2 stands for $10, and throw in a bag". As it turns out, It was the last '08, it was on clearance, plus someone stole the neck volume knob. As such, they just slammed the price down, and separated it from the other '09 models. Destiny, I tells ya! I still to this day, cannot figure out why I decided to walk straight from the front door to that bass. But, there she is, my beloved J.:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

Whats funny is, a year ago before I started reading talkbass, I only had the Sterling and the 'Wick, and was playing them through a 200 watt GK combo. TB has been a very bad influence. :D

:hyper: indeed! That's awesome. Too bad our local music store sells Fenders for about 600 US. :crying:

Electronics tend to be hot whe it's a rock bass! LOL I played one once and hated it, just played one and it was neck and neck with a MIM pbass (which was in the lead actually cause it was a 1 piece body bright sunburst), and the CV 60's pbass
