Thanks, sounded like crap though, so I put in a preamp off eBay. It was the exact bass I wanted when I first started playing, and when I saw it on the Bay for $200... couldn't pass it up. Super low action, bit of a neck dive though.

Sorta, it needs to be running through the distortion channel on my amp for the punch I want. I think I'll turn up the gain on the preamp. Maybe throw in some EMG's later

this is going to sound STUPID if i'm wrong, but aren't you from the spin doctors???!! either way, i saw a pic of their bassist who's ATK looked exactly like that, right down to the last detail

I've never really liked the 3-tone burst ..... I do like the 2-tone burst .... of course!

Note how the camera flash brings out more orange & red, the bass doesn't look like this with the naked eye.
