This brought tears of envy to my eyes.
this is my peavey forum 4 (i think). i just bought it for $125. so far i love it. got some questions though. how can i find out what kind of peavey it is exactly? as a beginner where could i get some useful information on learning to play? all i can play so far is twinkle twinkle little star, mary had a little lamb(not the stevie ray version) and the intro to smoke on the water lol. i get some fret buzz when i try to play too fast,and i cant get any sound from my guitar when i try slap and finger tapping. is the action set too low? anyway....as you can tell i'm a newb that needs some help

My advice would be to take it to the local music store and get it set up.
As for learning to play, there are some awesome resources online. Try YouTube and www.studybass.com to start with.

Nothing surprising about it, at all. I've yet to pick up a Jay Turser instrument that didn't feel and play like something worth 4 times as much. My son has a JT SG, and a good friend of mine has one of those JTB401's
Mine is a 2000 Infinity LTD in birdseye....The Mark King is a 1998 that I sent back to the factory for triple heart omega cuts and refin back in 2002...the top is Walnut Burl.

The ingeniuity of this bass just elicits awe... the only caveat might be that you ought to look out for the tin can lid edges when you play... I hope it sounds as good as it looks.
Thanks - it was a blast to build. I rounded off any truly sharp edges, so there have been no accidental stabbings or other mishaps ! I need to pot the pickup though....it likes to "take off", so I can only use the bass on quieter gigs currently.
That is a really great (and underrated) era for P Basses - from 66 through about 73 or so. This one is just a shade over 8 lbs, and sounds amazing. Makes me smile every time I plug it in.
That Premier is sweeeeet
It's definitely a fun bass. Looks cool, plays great, and has a BIG, FAT BOOTY !
