That is a really great (and underrated) era for P Basses - from 66 through about 73 or so. This one is just a shade over 8 lbs, and sounds amazing. Makes me smile every time I plug it in.

I would extend this to 1974. 8.12 lbs:

My uncle built this bass for me. It's painted with a green stain, so it looks different in different light. Black hardware with no name on the headstock. Bone nut so this bad boy stays in tune even with cheap tuners. Its VERY light btw.. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics...

Currently i own only 2, Fender Precision Standard MIM MN LPB (stock) and Squier Jazz Bass Standard MII RW MB (some mods on).
I have 16 good guitars, i should have at least six or seven basses now. I have been gassing for Epiphone Thunderbird Pro, Hofner Ignition and Squier VM Jaguar PJ basses for some time now. Furthermore, Ishibashi Online Shop in Japan have a lot of interesting basses, i am thinking of early 50`s Precisions and maybe Jazz Basses, to much better prices than in Europe. But i must get a humbucker bass quite soon first, and probably one more of whatever type before next year.

Edit: how can you people have so many big images shown at this site? I am allowed to have only few, 365Kb total of small pics. Must i donate if i wish to attach more images?
If it`s a question of number of posts, i will not begin to post masses of meaningless, short comments to get my numbers up. I write only if somebody has not already written what i wish to say.
