So here's my current roster. Please click on the link. The last few years I've gone thru a slew of Fenders, Squiers, Frankenbasses,custom jobs, Warwick Thumb and Streamer, 80s Stingray 5, Peavey USA millenium 5....the list goes on. But I must say I'm pretty content now! Cheers!

SKB 3005J Standard Plus (with mods). This thing is just sick...Burled redwood on mahogany, bird's eye maple....

This hot little honey is my LG3005 fretless. I ordered the jazz to match this one - interestingly (or not) the top wood on the jazz was choice #2 for this one) Burled redwood on maple/wenge/maple/mahogany, diamondwood fingerboard. The fretlines were made with the dust from the redwood top mixed in....

and finally, the one that started it all. My loved LG3006. Quilted/spalted maple on ash. Pau Ferro board.

I'm new to the forum and thought this would be as good a place to start as any.

Here are my toys...

If we had a "Hall of Fame" of basses, these three would be the top nominees for sure.

While you think those are three of the prettiest basses here, they're not my cup of tea at all.

With the exception of the jazz on the right the bodies are too narrow. I don't like the looks of the wood combinations on any of them (well, the LG3005 has some pretty good looks going on). They're all extended range basses (which I don't play).

While one person thinks something is absolutely beautiful, another might find it distasteful. Probably why we have rules against "ugly bass" comments, and why there is indeed no hall of fame.

I can appreciate all three of those basses just fine, but not a one of them really turns my head. *shrug*

Well, I am a Precision-and-related player myself and would never own a Roscoe, or a boutique bass of any kind - still, I think they are beautiful, and probably play very well and sound phenomenal for whatever music the owner chooses to play.
