Ken Bebensee just sent me his latest creation. A beautiful 6 string fretless with a spaulted maple top, a pick ivory fingerboard and an Aero pickup

It sounds great, looks great and plays fantastic

I love the DR Pink Neon strings. Surprisingly, they sound really good!

Wow. That is amazing looking. The top on that is just ridiculous. It's nice to see Ken is still making basses. May I ask how long you waited for this?

I figured this is a good spot for my first post so here goes!

From left and top to bottom and right
Early 1990s Stradivarius Replica Cello
Ibanez GSR200 (First real bass)
Squire Mike Dirnt P Bass (My NST bass)
1994/5 Fender Fretless Jazz Bass (MIJ)
Danelectro Longhorn Reissue (Made in Korea)
Balalaika (Not sure who made it or when)
Rogue Mandolin (Desperately in need of a restring)

While the cello, mandolin, and balalaika are not basses, the cello was my first instrument, playing bass inspired me to take up the mandolin, and the balalaika is tuned E, E, A so that is kind bass like.:D

Started playing and collecting basses back in 75. Here are a few that I have kept - 51 Kendrick Custom Shop, 56 Fender P Bass, Near Mint 4/59 P Bass, Near Mint 8/60 Concentric Knob Jazz with original gig bag and tags. Also collect Veillette Citrons. The 1960 labelmaker below is a recent addition that is in transit.

Recap of my stuff since I added one bass to the lineup...

My Cort Action 4, that will shortly be loaned out to a female friend (hottie too :D) that wants to learn how to play bass and wants to give things a shot before plunking down cash for her own:

Wow!!!! loving the Japanese fender : )

Where did you find that bad boy?

My MIJ Fender? I found it on the used rack of a guitar center. I came back every day after work to make sure that nobody bought it until payday. I am thinking of putting new pickups and maybe a new bridge on it though. The current pups are a bit balless if you catch my drift.

I don't remember if I posted in this thread, but here's an updated pic at my new apartment! From left to right:
