Yes. That IS a 1976 John Birch SCDR bass. It's slightly surplus at the moment.
The Retrovibe is really surprisingly good, apart from a couple of minor build issues that
were quite easily fixed. String tree on headstock was loose when bass arrived. I just
removed it. TRC was not screwed in properly. 2 secs of a job. action went down to
where I like it - no issue there.
Has a very pleasing deep thick bass sound when I roll a bit of the treble off the bridge
PU. Not Ric-ish, but a gorgeous player. Superb value for money. Seriously considering a
4string if he has any left.
