And, to stay on topic, I've recently kind of rediscovered this baby:
Man, is this bass fantástic. Sounds great, looks fantastic and it's one of the best playing basses I've ever laid my hands on.

Ok, so I finally got a good camera and took new shots of one of my J's (the other one is at the workshop)
Upgraded the pickguard with an Allparts vintage red tortoise and added a tugbar for a mor vintage look. It plays very nice, love the active electronics.

Just got my Peavey Cirrus BXP-4 set up properly today. I know it's not as good as the US models, but shoot, for what I paid, it's good enough for me! I really like the sound, the feel, and the look...I am VERY happy with it.

Great shot of the headstocks, that's cool. Yes indeed, "Rio" was pretty much one of the first songs I learned. I was right smack in front of John Taylor at the Duran Duran show a couple of weeks ago, talk about inspiration. I try not to sound like a total gushy fangirl about it, but he was the one who made me really get into bass. I always liked his tone and didn't really have a lot of luck with finding an Aria Pro II at all, let alone the series he plays...not to mention, the cost was way more than I wanted to spend. So then I literally had the sound of the Cirrus right in front of me all night, and that was when I went, "Hm..." and decided to try and track one down. I could see myself eventually "graduating" to a US model when I have a bit more money. It does sort of bother me how export models are such a gamble...mine is made in China but heck, it feels solid enough to me. Seems like it's not for everyone, but then again, "everyone" but me seems to be into Fender P-basses and I never felt the urge to get one. ...I'm weird.
Ok I had posted this earlier but for some reason i could not see my pic ... So i thought i would try it again!!! SO Heres A Pic of my lil Family!! not as impressive as some of them in here but hey it is a start!! The American fender Jazz Deluxe V is my Newest baby not even a week old!!!My Signature will tell you what the rest of them are!!

Dude,
No need to apologize for your taste in basses. You have a really nice set up. The only real difference between yours and some others' gear is $$ spent to get what YOU really want to define your sound. 99% of us would be very happy to have your set up.
