Cool! Inca Silver is beautiful!
Wonder how many are floating around out there..???
Cannot be many, for sure!

IIRC, there is another Inca Silver HB with DS's I have witnessed here on the boards. I'm not sure if it started it's life with DS's or not. Mine did as this picture is one of Jong's. At the time I had not seen one with DS's so I scooped it up. I love this bass particularly for recording. The DS's are massive.

Probably the ugliest bass on Talkbass.... it's been around the world with me, slid across stages, dropped, had the body glued back together, accidentally run over by our old van, and basically beaten and bruised to within an inch of its' life.... but I still love it, and it sounds great.

I'm pretty sure it's a Skyline.

Ummm... I think quite the opposite, it has an odd sort beauty, but is definitely one of the more beautiful basses I've seen.

That's some tough history your beauty had gone trough but if she could survive until now, I think it's destiny she belongs to you :hyper: Imperfection does not mean ugliness!

Glad you fellas like her.

Yeah, she's a great bass....just had a hard life ! I mostly play my Longhorns these days, but I'm busting this one out for a "Neil Young and Crazy Horse" thing I'm doing ....gonna be fun to get some playing time on the ol' girl.

This is an absolutely awesome bass. It has soul, and that makes it priceless.

As I told in my introduction topic, I have a beautiful bass from 1961 (according to Fender's dating chart), a Fender Precision. The head is stained and there is a slight scratch at the body, but that's all of negative points; this bass pumps out the greatest of tones. The best point of this all is that I found it in the attic, when my mother told me that I should play bass instead of keyboard. I was astounded, and I don't think I will have to replace this beauty with another fourstring for a while!

The worst thing about starting with a bass like this is that I have high standards; I really can't play on cheaper basses hanging around the school, so I just have to carry her around at all times.

Here's some links to pictures I took of her:

I think that sums her up. I wonder what she's worth, and please excuse me if you think I'm exaggerating.
