I believe Sir Paul started "everything" so my son better know it
But as my LavaRed Attitude Limited is my all time favorite bass
I managed to put a DiMarzio ModelOne on his 28,60" Precision!

Up-down:

(back in those days, this 2x15"
"ensemble" went almost up and
down every stage I played on)

Answered via PM ;)(missed ya post sorry) but for anyone else interested, made in NZ Jansen,dunno much about it,60/70's ? blatant Fender copy. :)
I know Jansen made Guitars and Basses here in NZ back then.
Love to know more if anyone else here can enlighten me.
 
Here is a Picture of me and a bass I made for myself in 2008. It has been in Iraq and Afghanistan for about 4 years. Sufferd Rocket attacks, Mortars, the occasional AK 47 shootings and my playing and it is still going strong. I brought it back last June and it is now retired to the house. I built using Black Walnut from my forest out back, Active EMG 35's, Sprzel locking tuners, Bronze adjustable nut from Warwick and Stumac frets.
