The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Something a little different. I turned a Bullet Mustang guitar in to a basitar.

Strung with .60 and .36 and tuned C# and G#. It's real fun to play with a lot of drive/fuzz.

View attachment 5140242got this from my brother, I'm not sure what the make and model is. I was told it's an ibanez though

That's a BadAss Bass
It kinda looks like an Ibanez BtB body
But the headstock ? I'm sure Ibanez basses
(as far as I know) anyway , have never had a headstock like that.
*Runnels* is the make according to the name on the headstock
Either way
It's a real nice bass
You have a good brother : ?)

Thank dude. Yea my brother passed away in 2019. Just looking to see if anyone had more of an idea. The runners sticker isn't anything special at least that's what the local guitar center told me.

The hs could have been re-defined.

That's what I was being told from the guy at the guitar store. He said it doesn't look like if would be from ibanez. I've looked everywhere for a make and model number but couldn't find one. I spoke to another person from guitar center and he said they would have to take it apart to find it and send in the numbers to there corporate store and from there will identify if and give me a value as well

If you are trying to assess its worth, I think it will be worth whatever someone decides to offer because of its ambiguous nature, which most likely will not be a whole lot. As in, it's unlikely a rare sought-after bass uncovered by finding serial numbers etc. Just being realistic.

I did try to find something , anything about your bass , I searched the name on the headstock , the shape of the headstock is a style I've never seen before.
I tried but couldn't find a headstock shape like that anywhere , the makers name , maybe , I'm gonna look again,
It could be a Bass that's not sold in the USA .
Or the neck may be a replacement neck ?
the body style is used by alot of different brands
If I find anything about your bass , I'll let ya know
I love a good mystery , and this is a good mystery
Sorry to hear about your brother .

Locking bass tremolo!?!? Gloss finished fretboard, unusual headstock and (and I mean no offense by this) an amateur headstock decal job, woods that don't match any ibanez I'm familiar with, and unusual pickup placement. I have serious doubts it was made by ibanez. Looks like the pickups might have been, but the rest either doesn't line up, or it has been HEAVILY modified. I'd guess it's a home-build, looks like it could be a cool piece, I'm super intrigued with the locking trem.
