That is a Pittman. Built by the late Paul Pittman Slagle. Its a incredible p bass
Paul was a master finisher and a heck of a builder. Its a Alder body in aged Dakota red. Maple neck with Cocobolo fretboard, Duncan 60’s pride. KTS bridge and Hipshot tuners. Tips the scale right at 8.00 lbs. Paul was a friend and is known for his finishing and his boutique Tele’s. He built this bass for me #001 and one other for a friend #002 in Shell pink. R.I.P. Paul

There is a small collective of very talented Lads out there in So Cal that do a whos who list of stuff for the industry and Paul was one of them. They all shared tasks in building various parts. For ex the truss rod on this was made by Tb’s Bruce Johnson. Its a unique rod engineered by Bruce. Paul would share in finishing and building in that club. Paul really had his relic game together though. Tasteful and proper without going overboard.
He finished this Sugar Pine Warmoth for me too.

I follow Bruce, he is great! Very informative and helpful and has a workshop/space that I envy.
I've been on a bit of an acquisition spree. Latest is a 1982 Peavey T-40.
Looks like the Harley Davidson of bass, in a good way !
LOL, it's not, It just photographs well. Looks better from a distance. Lots of scratches and wear. If you look closely you can see a long blemish between the bouts on the bass side.

I have that same poster you have framed on the wall.
It's a classic! That's my second one. The original wasn't framed and didn't survive the last time it came of the wall for the move to the new house.

Here’s my Blue Yamaha BB434, swapped the cream with a black pick guard from Pickguard Planet, stuck my Bassman Sticker on it, and screwed it on. My one and only.
