Yes, they are all budget basses. They have all been setup and modified to some extent or another, to my liking. Most of them have some sort of fret and neck work. All but the GIB 5 HH have had their pickups swapped out. Hardware and electronics have been modded or swapped as desired/needed. All the pickups, name brand or smaller brands, were less than $99 (Epic Custom Shop JP-2 set in the Talman) at the time I purchased them.

They all do get played, maybe not each week, but on a regular rotation. It depends on which one I feel like playing or sounds like what I'm after. The most played is now my Harley Benton PB-50, but until recently, it was the Donner DPB-510.
I got number 8 in this week.

It's already modified to my liking, as I already had most of the the parts on hand or modified the parts as needed.

After so many years on TB, don’t think I’ve ever posted to this thread!

Of all the amazing instruments I’ve owned, here’s my current line-up:

Lovin’ Fender Custom Shop basses a lot lately:

And of course my one and only active bass and only 5 string, the pinnacle of my collection since I’ve owned it for nearly 5 years now, my 2015 Wal MK2:

Got this one last week because I was looking for a different pickup style than I already owned. Sounded great right out of the box. Had to put a new bridge, string retainer, and strings on it (purely because of personal preferences). Wasn’t keen on the color, but the price was good- now that I have it I absolutely love the color/style. View attachment 5248878
Sire is definitely taking place in bassists heart over the last few years, their necks are soooooo comfortable ! Looks like a pro bass to me, very nice.
