Ohhh...how do you like the Sandberg? I'm Sandberg curious.
Now I am no expert - but the neck on this Sandberg has to be the best feeling neck I have ever played. The frets are smooth on the sides, and I have the action really low.
The quality of the fretboard and finish are all top shelf. The bass is only 7 pounds 10 oz's and the balance is great with no dive at all. The pickup has a good output, and the tuners really work well. The finish is really nice, and I like the P style pick plate that is in 2 pieces. Nice high mass top load bridge.
The gig bag was not the greatest in the world, so I replaced it with a nicer one. I got it used on reverb at a lower price, but the bass is next to new in condition.
I am not a big fan of the road worn basses and this one is not road worn like some of the Sandbergs I see. Not a mark on her. The 4 little dot logo did rub off on the one pickup.
GFB - if I had known or researched about them earlier, I could have saved a bunch of money and just got a Sandberg back then. They are really worth the money and a great basses IMO.
