I haven't been around in a LONG time. But I'm still trudging along. Here are my 3.

NO...the third shot is BASS PORN...pure and simple. I think it's the rug...New baby. Sandberg TM 4. Very ordinary photos that don't show its real beauty. Great bass.

Yeah...They are VERY cool and also awesome players. Both in a killer Jazz Bass tone, and the speed of a nicely made short scale.
And yes...The chrome control plate is the exact same size as a regular Jazz Bass. So are the three knobs.

So they don't import them and exactly why not? Seems ideal for discerning players who happen to feel more comfortable with that scale. (as in, not just for beginners)

Thanks for the info! I actually saw a Short Scale Jazz body on ebay earlier this year. It was missing a neck and control plate but a Squier Bronco or Jaguar SS neck would have probably fit. I really should have scooped that one up.
You can still find the JB62SS out there on the internet, but stores like Ishibashi are sold out already. 
If you don't mind paying a premium, there are a few on eBay right now. That price may seem high now, but I have no doubt these little buggers will pull 2 grand easy in a year or two.
