Sounds and plays even better than it looks.
I'm intrigued by headless ones... Buddy, which of your two is better made? And has better pickups?
If one day there is an opportunity to afford it, I would like to buy a headless one... If you describe them in detail or even send samples, it will be easier to eliminate them and move forward with the search..
I'm afraid of this...Schecter...It scares me...I don't know if I would have the patience to tune him and I don't know where he would use him? Maybe in this one... but only with guitar pick...

Would love to try a Schecter 12er... As iconic as the Kramer 12 used by dUg and others is... I would be curious what the differences would be...

of the 2 examples I have, the Kramer “the Duke” is the best. It has a Schaller quad coil pickup that is tappable ( staggered coil , parallel, series)
The Alien is a knockoff that I bought for the neck. I’m making an Explorer body for it.
Either can be found on eBay or reverb for under 700.

The electronics package, and an upper horn.
I tried out a Schecter dUg, and the neck and hardware are comparable : the dUg had too much neck dive to be comfortable to play on a strap.
The Stargazer on the other hand is balanced perfectly.

I have played Hamer 12s and they are great, especially the short scale!
The B12L (also in medium and short scale) chaparral is the most common

The stargazer is as good as the above in my opinion, and experience.

My Squier Affinity Jazz Active in Mystic Seafoam Green. I change the pickguard for a Pearloid one and Fitted a fender Heavy Mass Bridge (mainly for looks).

I understand everything, but for me it's just... extravaganza... Because can't you play the three pieces you mentioned on a 4-string bass? I would definitely invest in a different model 4 than in the 12... Peace Man!

It’s all about the sonic texture and complexity of tone produced.
Beet on ukelele? No, that's not what I was talking about... You simplified my thought... Textures? Complexity of tones? For this, IN CURRENT TIMES, electronics, amplifiers, simulations, plug-ins are more responsible... than the instrument... That's why I would prefer my beloved, classic 4-string basses == I feel best with them, mentally and sonically! For me it's strange and unnecessary, but I respect other opinions.

Cheap Trick : Tom’s 12 string is the foundation of their sound. Love them always unique with a sound like no other and fun catchy tunes.
