Thanks! This is the Fiesta red bodies 2nd rendition - first go had an ebony-boarded AllParts J neck, no pg, and an Audere pre-amp. I'm liking this passive version better. And with the maple neck and pg it visually subdues the RED a bit…

I like them both also, but I like the new version better. I made the pg from clear acrylic and sparkle craft paper. Probably cost a whole $5 to do so. (with left over material)

I'm primarily a guitarist, took up playing bass mainly so I didn't have to call up a bassist everytime I had to lay some low notes while playing, and ended up enjoying bass more than guitar! I now consider myself a beginner bass player and not a guitar player any longer.

This is partially what spun off of the above bass (which doesn't exist anymore in this configuration) - roasted ash body (that I made) w/60's B-pu spacing, Audere JZ3 pre, Lindy Fralin split-coils, Schaller 3D bridge. (same neck/tuners)

Thanks man. The VI has its own sound. It's not as full sounding as a full scale bass yet it's still usable as a bass guitar in a band setting. Mine is a modded pawnshop model a MIJ probably has better pickups than the ones I installed. Listen to Helter Skelter it's pretty much that flavor.

While I'm here, here's my latest: an Ibanez Artcore AFB 200

The label (thumbnail) says MIC however the serial number references Samick in Korea. I suspect that the Serial number is correct and the label is just some stock that sayz MIC. Epiphone had quite a few like this; label printing saying MIC but the stamped part being the actual information. The 12 & 11 after the S - one is the 2 digit year and the other two are the factory (I don't remember off hand which is which but I think year is first). The last 4 is the sequence number. SRO is Sunburst Red and I don't have a clue what the 12-04 means.
Very warm sound. I haven't noticed that the Tone control doing much but I haven't played with it yet and I usually run my tone full up and use the preamp for adjustment.
