Here is one I just built. Silvertone Revolver thats completely re done. Gotoh gb707 tuners, bone nut, Hipshot roller string tree, Bartolini pup, Fender 13 hole pearled pick guard, CTS solid shaft pots, Orange drop 0.47 cap, Tele knobs, Gotoh 201 bridge, and Dunlop strap locks. 8.6 pounds and the neck is the dimensions of a Jazz bass. Plays and sounds great!

Interesting finish Ivan... what was your inspiration? Do you have a playing preference favorite?
My three basses that have found my satisfaction for a while. My Lakland skyline DJ5, but it's an early one with the Aero pickups. Peavey Foundation 5 that is what I call "the poor mans modulus", but it's build like a tank and sounds great. Finally, the parts jazz. Mismatched body and neck with 1973 fender pickups, Grover tuners, and that early Badass that everyone loves so much.
My inspiration was the Hello Goodbye video of McCartney's Rick. The psychadelic paint job. Then I've always like to do drip paint as well, so I just took the basic colour scheme of the rickenbacker, and added my own touch to it.
I'd say my favorite (player wise) is the contemporary. Neck is nice and thick, has good girth. Sentimentally though, I like the icon.
The CT is my preference. The icon in near unplayable (but I still play it because i love it so much) the action at the 12th fret is about half an inch. And the electronics aren't great either. Needs a neck reset eventually.

Thought I'd start by posting a pic of my babies here! LTD is a B-4e with EMG BQS system and CS's. The other is my holy grail (for me!) bass. It's a G&L JB-2 USA. My active doesn't really get as much play time nowadays! JB-2 is just so awesome for me, I can't seem to put it down

My Ibby 1200e Premium
I am not generally an Ibanez fan, but these basses interest me. I like Nordy pups and the skinny neck seems appealing. What your take?
I really like it as far as everything that it offers, without the price tag of the Prestige models. The pick ups sound great and the build quality is fantastic. And yes the neck is skinny...a little too skinny for me. I really prefer a neck with a bit more chunk to it. I don't mind the distance from front to rear, but to me it feels like I'm holding a drumstick...not a chicken leg but an actual drumstick. Its odd because I don't have giant hands or anything. I guess I prefer that a bass feels as big as it sounds. My Spector is really the perfect bass out of all that I have owned. Alas, this one is on the block for someone who needs it more than I. I have had many Soundgears over the years and with the exception of my 1994 SR5000 with p/j pups, this has been the best of them. Hope this helped.......
