The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Here's my Gibson SG in metalflake pink. I had the the lettering installed & play this every gig during the month of October, during all the heightened awareness of breast cancer & cancer in general. This also shows the backside.
ALL OF US know somebody that's been affected by cancer; let the low end bass community keep thumping for a cure!

This is my modified 2011 G&L L-1505. This pickup placement gives me a much stronger tone than I had with a L-2500. That's because both pickups are farther away from the bridge. I also drastically simplified the electronics inside - all elect. were removed and replaced and there won't ever be a battery inside. I use a Stellartone toneystyler knob.

Left to right;

I love your basses!! Some of the luthier made are stunning. They look so contemporary compared to my vintage looking semi-hollow.

It has genuine 1970s Gibson G3 pickups, along with 80's gibson vol & tone. 6-way "Freeway" toggle switch keeps things tidy. Body is figured maple with carved/arched top and back. Ebony fretboard & koa headstock overlay. Hipshot hardware. Inset ebony jackplate.

First gig with it tomorrow night :D

My 1994 Pbass.
I made the pickup. Refretted the neck, new nut.
Strung with old flats I rescued from a customer who didn't want them.
The best bass I've ever owned, currently my only bass.
When gigging I use an ibanez BB9 bottom booster.
Or I use nothing, plugging straight into an amp.

Nice. What Squier P is that?

It's actually an Affinity Series, it was a purple/blue color before, so I stripped it with the intent to go Olympic White Nitro...but the naked bass looked pretty dang cool, so I slapped a black pickguard on it and left it alone.

I plays great, but the pickups are lacking quite badly...I think I'll toss a Seymour Duncan 1/4lb in there sometime this fall.
