Cleaning the family earlier today.

NBD! (yesterday)

My stable has grown again this year with the addition of a Ray34CA from a fellow member:

I actually like the tone on the Ray34CA more than my American Stingray 5! (Stingray 5 sounds weak in comparison now...?)

Unfortunately, the bass weighs a ton (the seller was perfectly clear on that, so no surprise there). Hopefully a wide neoprene strap will help.

Surprisingly, I'm wondering if I would have preferred a standard Stingray width neck (even though I have two Jazz bases) - the neck seems a little too thin to me right now (hopefully I'll adjust).

That being said, the fit and finish on SBMM is an incredible value for the asking price! I highly recommend them!

ok... I try to tell a bit with my poor english...
30 or 40 years ago I used to play in a Beatles Coverband and I remember that in those days I wished to have something more significant than my violin bass. But I had a job, a family... you know all the stuff that takes your time...
Now I'm a pensioneer and the biggest german music forum initiated a competition for guitar- and bass builders and I saw my time had come. :) Now I hope, that I win the competition and thinking about the next project... :D

If I was voting in that contest, you'd have my vote!
