Trans black over Ash, clear pickguard.

Active passive active 2 band pre.
Mighty Mite Single coil neck, MM dual coil bridge parallel (untapped as yet)
Omega Bass bridge.
So it's been a couple weeks and played a few gigs with it. Gone through a couple sets of strings. Settled on Ernie Ball Cobalt flats.
Plays very similar to a Lakland Skyline (same plant) comfy neck and the B kills.
Liked it as received BUT! (never one to leave well enough alone!)
The single coil neck pickup was weak and muffled. The bridge HB is ok.
Did NOT like the Omega bridge saddles. Grooved but strings would not stay in grooves when I needed to spread a bit for string spacing.
Did not like the ungrounded exposed pole pieces.
First order was to replace the Omega saddles with a set of Hipshot Kick-Ass saddles. HUUUUGE improvement. These are solid and the spacing adjustment is a snap.
Ordered a Seymour Duncan Basslines SJ5-3 Quarter Pounder to put in the neck position.
Ordered sealed pup covers.
Replaced both covers today and installed the QP.
Whoah what a difference! The QP is louder than the Mighty Mite HB and clearer
they blend really well now and a great improvement. Gigged last weekend played it all night, Sparkle (my L2500) stayed in the gig bag!
I like the bass quite a bit. It feels really good ! action can get lower than is useful for me.
Cops the SR5 tone pretty well, basically it's a close relative of a Lakeland Skyline 5502 and the neck profile is REALLY similar. (for far less$)
Added pearl top knobs in place of the Chrome ones.
Dunlop Dual Design strap locks go on all my basses, I leave the Shure GLX transmitter attached to the strap, so instrument changes take seconds.
