This ‘74 followed me home today. All original, except the bridge and strap buttons, but it came with the originals, plus the covers and tug bar. 8.5# and LaBella 1954s. Great feeling neck- 1.5” nut, slightly chunky U shape at the nut that tapers off to a slim C. Killer local deal too!

I've always wanted a Gravity 5 since I started playing bass 15 years ago after I saw Robert Trujillo using one on the Metallica St. Anger DVD. After all these years I decided to buy one and I am super happy!

Just signed up, so this is my first post here. Here's my beautiful Retrovibe Vantage. The site said out of stock so I directly emailed David from Retrovibe to ask if he had any that I could buy. Luckily, he had this custom sunburst Vantage with a black pickguard that sounds great! It's passive and the pickups are really loud and bright. My only gripe so far is that the neck is very sunken in so unless I have the action very high the strings tend to touch the pole pieces on the pickups. Even with the lower action I have now the E string makes a loud clicking sound when I play hard because it touches the pole piece. My second bass in the 80's was a Vantage vp-700b. Was more like an Aria pro Sb but it had two killer old white Dimarzio pbass pu's with the allen screw poles. Wicked bass.

They do play great but electronics suck. This one looks like 2 volume and bass,mids,and treble. Am I right?

Very nice. I found a neck thru stingray 5. Has the single coil pu as well. Is there any reason anybody knows not go get it. I was considering a 34 inch scale but this is a really really nice bass.

Ever since I saw the strange shape of the Non Reverse Thunderbird I was intrigued by it. Gibson and Epiphone don't make them anymore. Some smaller builders make versions, such as Lull and Cataldo. I decided to take a stab at it and I got it strung up last night. I'll probably do a NBD thread in the next couple of days but I thought I'd show it off here first.
Regardless of how it looks, it plays great so there's that. By using a Warwick bridge / tailpiece I was able to concoct a medium scale (32") bass that takes long scale strings. My new favorites, TI flats are on it and they just sing.
