The pearl paint didn't come out as white as I'd hoped for but I think it will be ok with the Purple Pearl Pickguard.
Here's the Jazz Bass that gave me the Idea. I think I stole this photo from here on TB.
It's already got the mojo, then! Can, or spray gun? I tried for a copper metallic on my build, and I got tired of shaking the can. I couldn't stir those flakes up enough to get out of the nozzle.
Primer,Gold then the Pearl. I heard somewhere that gold under the White Pearl paint would help the different colors come out better. It looked great on a test piece of wood. Just didn't come out as white as I hoped. I think it will be fine anyway. We'll soon find out if the paint ever cures with the change in humidity.
It came out of a can. This will be my last paint project. I'm not a painter and really don't want to learn how to be.
This is my 2nd go at it, the 1st being the same Gold on my Dusty Hill Copy/Fake. They're Ok I guess. But I find it overly frustrating. I'd rather Play Bass or troubleshoot/repair an Amp on a bench.

I addition to that twelve string, I have some other dean rhapsody's...
left to right, Dean Q5 string strung in low B modded electronics, Q4 in amber, Black Q4 modded to a lined fretless. And the 8 string in bubinga. They were available from 2000 to 2003. All 4 of these have the 2 volumes and a 3 band EQ.
