Here’s my ‘bursts’ that aren’t 3-tone sunbursts with tort. They got fresh strings and a full service clean/ setup yesterday. I’ve owned both since new. Also a few closeups of the Sterling neck (oil finish). Really starting to show it’s age. And my cat, who loves to play with strings when I change them.

-96 EBMM Sterling in ‘Sunburst’
-MJT ‘51 in ‘2-Tone Sunburst’ build w/ MIM U neck

Sounds great, although I have only ever had one other single humbucker bass, A Sterling by Musicman Ray34 active bass to compare it to. Still a fan of the passive P bass but its growing on me.

One of the coolest basses I've seen here in a while!:cool:

Love the simplicity.

Thanks, I did a 51 style slab body a couple years back and loved the raw basic approach with the single coil pickup wanted to see what a single humbucker would do after picking up a Sterling Ray 34. Only 2 Active basses I own. I kinda fall into the traditional P bass crowd as far as preference but like to roll my own in guitars and basses.
