I'm surprised they don't get more love. They're amazing instruments. I just sealed the deal on an original AFR105 from the early 90's too . That'll be a fun video!

I was looking to see if I could find demo videos of one of these but turned up nothing. If only a TBer with one also happened to make a bunch of bass review videos...

silly question, but what is that slot running parallel to the strings for? I can understand a long thumbrest but this seems to be the opposite...

Beautiful AFR! I'm really surprised that there's not more folks on here with em... I almost want to start a megathread and see how much (or little) traction it gets.

Got my AFR5WAP (reissue), the AFR105 (original) headed my way Saturday, and just ordered a MINT EDA905 from Japan to complete the trifecta! That will be an AWESOME video (or series, don't want to make it too long.. and there's three basses!)
