I traded a Korg handheld tuner for it, even trade (and the tuner had been given to me!)
Pretty sure that it's not the one from Alabama! This one seems to have very Connecticut vibes, and no chips on the body. This has a period correct thin black case, not the earlier eighties brown chainsaw style or a molded case. No chip, just some cool JUXTAPOZ stickers that I took off the bass and stuck on my be-stickered pickup truck cap. It's a really great bass under all the chipped up defret work, I can see why you miss yours! They're out there, and undervalued. Hope you find another!

I had to ask because I have no earthly idea what happened to mine. The search goes on....

That's definitely a cool finish! But, well, I'm sort of more an overshoot the pits guy and was thinking big flake green. Resale be damned. I have one off getting flaked right now in tangerine but I have a boring grampaburst MIJ Geddy that that deserves the power of green flake me thinks.

Hell yea!!! I don't give a damn about resale either. I'll be painting my EHB here soon to exactly how I want it. And I'm a huge sucker for metallic flake. I'm a hot rod car guy as well so it's right up my alley.

Marty Bell did this for me recently, he's doing a tangerine flake Dirnt P for me right now. Pretty serious about that Geddy....can't do grampaburst, it's my cross to bear.

I sort of have a flake fetish.

I love them all! And I agree, burst has never been my thing. Only one I can think of that I like is the silver burst Adam Jones les Paul
